September 14, 2010 - Arena Football League (AFL) Arizona Rattlers MESA, Ariz. - The Arizona Rattlers have announced that head coach KEVIN GUY has re-signed with the team for a third season. The new contract ensures that Guy will become the second-longest tenured head coach in Rattler history when the team returns to the field in March.

"I'm glad to be a part of the Arizona Rattlers; an organization that is committed to winning on and off the field," said Guy. "I'm looking forward to building on last year's success and to a great 2011 season."

A 10-6 regular season record was the Rattlers' best since 2004, the year that Arizona advanced to the last of its five Arena Bowls. With 18 Rattler regular season wins to his credit, Guy is the second-winningest coach in team history and in 2010 became the first Arizona head coach to lead his team to playoff berths in his first two seasons.

Since the conclusion of the 2010 season, five of Guy's players have received opportunities in other professional football leagues, over 20% of the team's roster.

"The Rattlers are pleased to re-sign our head coach Kevin Guy," said Mike Galloway, a member of the Rattlers ownership group. "We feel that he is one of the best coaches in the league, and we can build our franchise around him. We came so close to going to the Arena Bowl last year, and with just a couple more players Coach Guy will get us there this year."

The Rattlers return to the field at USAirways Center with an expanded 18 game schedule in March 2011. The Arizona Rattlers are a proud member of the Arena Football League, which returns for its 24th season with 19 franchises, four more than 2010.
